The Destoner works on the vacuum principle. It separates heavy impurities such as stones, and any other potentially harmful objects. The seeds are fed onto the deck where a combination of vibrations and aspiration results in a stratification of the material by a relative weight, with heavier layers on the bottom and lighter layers on the top. After the material is stratified, the vibrating deck pushes the heavier layers in contact with the deck upward towards the impurities discharge. At the same time, the upper layers with light fraction, float down towards the clean product outlet.
