It is an extremely aromatic spice and herb that is indispensable in Mediterranean cuisine. Also known as the “Elixir of Longevity,” the herb is popular for its beneficial properties and unique rich aroma.
Hyssop is a perennial, semi-shrubby plant of the Lamiaceae family. Forms erect stems, many in number, up to 60 cm high, with hairs on the tip of fine hairs. The Hyssop leaves are oblong, narrow to 5 cm long. The plant forms blue flowers in the summer at the tip of the stems (blooms in the second year after sowing the seeds).
The Hyssop is a highly dry and light-loving species, choose a sunny spot in the garden or yard. Seed sowing during the months of April – May outdoors or in greenhouses and greenhouses (in this case it can be sown earlier). Prepare the seedlings from Hyssop in a permanent place between July and August.
