Description
Green beans Gina is a low variety and is grown as an annual bean plant that forms green and flat fruits called pods. The main advantage of the variety is that its pods do not form unpleasant “threads”. They are harvested when they are young to be more tender and fresh. During the fruiting period, the harvest must be carried out every 2-3 days for the plant to be able to release itself from the old ones and feed more new fruits.
The low-growing varieties are sowed regularly at a distance of 45 – 50cm between the rows and 8- 9cm in row or nesting at a distance of 50 – 60cm between the rows and 25 – 30cm between the nests, placing 4 – 5 seeds in one nest. Seeds sprout for 6 – 10 days at a temperature of about 20 ° C. The optimal temperature for plant development – 18 – 25 ° C.
Sowed:
– The second half of April – as the first crop.
– From July – as a second culture.
Soil humidity of about 70-80% must be maintained throughout the growing season for normal crop development. The green beans are ready for picking 13 – 15 days after flowering.
