MallAgro is pleased to introduce to you the seeds of a very useful vegetable – Calabrese broccoli.
This is a highly productive early production variety from the beginning of January to the end of March. Resistant to disease and low temperatures.
The Calabrese variety is old and disease resistant, high yielding, forms dark green heads. It develops one main head with a size of 15 cm and a set around it with dimensions of about 8 cm.
Broccoli is cold resistant and prefers cooler and wetter areas. The optimum temperature for its development is 19 ° C. It grows best on humid soil with a neutral pH. Suitable precursors are tomatoes, potatoes, and beans.
For early production, the seeds are sown from January 25th – 30th. For late production: June 20 – July 5. It is grown with seedlings prepared from seed. Requires regular watering and temperatures of 18 – 20 degrees Celsius, high air humidity, and neutral soil response. It is good to fertilize the soil with fertilizers, especially before planting seedlings. Usually, broccoli yield is about 1.6 – 2 tons per hectare.
